Board members Dr. Steve Stahl and Dr. Jovita Toledo talk during the 2nd annual Camotan Clinic Fundraiser
A huge thank you to all of you who donated, attended and supported us during our 2nd annual Camotan Clinic fundraiser in Denver, CO on October 27, 2022. We had a wonderful night with ethnic Guatemalan food, silent auction, speakers and of course our raffle with almost 100 pounds of Guatemalan coffee raffled off!
Dr. Joel Strohecker, president of Camotan Clinic welcomes the attendees
We of course had Dr. Jovita Toledo and her brother Juan into town in Denver for the weekend. It is always a joy having them in town. For those of you who follow us, Dr. Toledo is the heart and soul of Camotan Clinic. She manages our everyday functions and has been instrumental in developing partnerships with several Guatemalan non profits as the clinic continues to grow. We literally would not function without her constant donation of time and energy.
We were excited to announce that over 2,000 patients had been treated at Camotan Clinic in 2022 through October. And hundreds were reached with our collaborative food and nutrition program. So this was a wonderful night to say thank you to the almost 100 of you who came and the nearly 75 of you who donate to Camotan Clinic through the year. And of course for those of you who pray for us, think of us every day, we are so grateful. The work we do is often hard. Without your support this would not happen. So thank you again!
As we write this, our team is delivering medical care, food and gifts for Christmas to the people we serve. More on that soon in another blog. Happy Holidays to you all! And blessings to you again for supporting Camotan Clinic. We far exceeded our fundraising goal for this year.
